WandaVision: Kat Dennings Gets Candid About Returning To The MCU After 8 Years

The 2 Broke Girls actor played Jane Foster's intern in two MCU films!
It has been eight years since she reprised her role in the MCU, so naturally, the actor is thrilled to be back.
Kat Dennings Can't Believe She's A Part Of WandaVision
The actor made a virtual appearance on Good Morning America, and talked all things WandaVision.
Looking back at her journey in the MCU, Dennings said, "I'm so excited to be back. When I got that call, I was astounded."
"I was happy to just be in one movie let alone two movies, and it had been so long. I couldn't believe it," she said.
The actor addressed Marvel Studios' secretive nature, and how they rarely ever divulged information to actors, so the films weren't ruined for fans.
When she starred in Thor and later its sequel film, she was asked to sign multiple NDA's and only knew about her character's role in the film, and was left in dark about the rest.
Something changed during WandaVision, because Dennings was given all the episodes beforehand! "That was a new experience," she said.
Instead of going over the script until the final WandaVision episode, the actor decided against it.
"As we shot, I made the decision to not know too much. I only wanted to know what my character knew which is probably just bad acting...but it just makes it easier today talking to you, I don't feel like I'm lying too much," she shared.
The actor also revealed that she would've loved for the series to recreate an episode from Boy Meets World, since it was her favourite sitcom while growing up.
Kat Dennings had some control over what her character Darcy Lewis would eat in WandaVision, since she'd be spending a lot of time at S.W.O.R.D. base, uncovering the mysterious town of Westview, and working with Agent Monica Rambeau and FBI agent Jimmy Woo.
"It was scripted that Darcy would eat ramen and chips," she said.
"Because Marvel is so high level, they came up to me and were like: What kind of chips do you think Darcy would eat as a character?
"I was like, well, she's a grown-up now, you know, she's a scientist, so maybe the baked ones."
